BACK TO WHO WE SERVE

SCHOOLs & Universities

For more than three decades, ACR has been the trusted “go-to” for countless educational organizations. The reasons are crystal clear.

ACR “gets” school operations. We know the nature of your daily schedules and that you’re on call 24/7 for all issues. That means you need your partners and vendors to respond immediately, complete high quality work, and most of all, do this with no additional hassles and complications. Time and time again we accomplish what we claim, exceed expectations, and our projects have been done correctly, quickly and with minimal disruption to daily operations.

MAINTAINING OPERATIONAL CONTINUITY

All of ACR’s school, college and university clients appreciate that keeping the operations of their properties on track is paramount and consumes every minute of every day to accomplish. But there are innumerable ways that operational continuity can be thrown off.

For school operations and buildings/grounds managers, there is no greater risk than the possibility of loss of use over an incorrectly handled loss recovery or capital improvement project that disrupts the entire building. Each ACR client bears its unique continuity risks, and ACR has considered these in our client-centric service and communication.

For disaster recovery, the central hub that preserves operational continuity is our commitment to mitigation-first response, in many cases eliminating unneeded tear-out and reconstruction, where mitigation restoration can return the school to pre-loss condition.

For construction services, it’s our commitment to establish clear and upfront understanding of timelines, expectations and provide thorough communication that helps prevent projects from causing unreasonable disruption and inconvenience.

AWARD-WINNING GYM FLOOR Restoration

Reduce Operational Loss of Use and Expense by Drying Your Wet Gym Floor In-Place instead of replacing it.

Traditionally, if a large hardwood floor has become seriously wet, it’s more than likely that tear-out and replacement was considered the only option. Even today, it’s common to hear that none of the key people involved in a loss have ever heard about restorative drying in-place as an alternative to the enormous cost and delay involved after the floor experiences swelling and buckling.

If an affected floor is inspected early enough, ACR’s restorative drying can save upward of 80% of loss of use and expense compared to tear-out and replacement.

RECONSTRUCTION & InSURANCE REPAIR

ACR’s focus is to approach losses with a mitigation-first mindset, bringing the people, education, systems and experience needed to restore losses, while reducing loss of use and operational expense. Some losses push structural materials beyond their limits of recovery, forcing the need to remove and replace those materials. In these cases, ACR applies the same principles of efficient project management, focused processes and decades of experience to complete reconstruction as quickly and disruption-free as possible.

Following successful mitigation, ACR performs necessary repair or replacement of structural materials as a result of property damage. Our approach to construction management is centered not only on top quality workmanship, but also on dependable systems that support effective communications, reporting and consistent progress toward returning to pre-loss condition.

Captial Improvements

When ACR is assigned capital improvement projects, we take your needs seriously. Capital improvement is defined as “the addition of a permanent structural improvement or the restoration of some aspect of a property that will either enhance the property’s overall value or increases its useful life.”

Funds used for these projects must be protected by means of smart project planning, tight budget management and attention to detail.

ACR’s clients in educational facility management all benefit measurably from our comprehensive integration of our essential business promise of maintaining operational continuity for our clients in the role of general contractor.

Improvements include, but not limited to:
Carpentry, drywall, painting, roofing, windows, plumbing, and HVAC

It’s All About (Ongoing) Education

ACR is dedicated to ongoing training and education throughout our company. Top level protocol in the restoration business can only be delivered with comprehensive certifications by the primary governing bodies in our industry, namely the IICRC (the Institute for Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) and the RIA (Restoration Industry Association). ACR’s division managers, project managers and technicians all boast both fundamental and specialty certifications, all of which are updated continually with the newest information and techniques.

ACR also is proud to state that we have numerous employees holding the most advanced designations of Master Water Restorer, Master Fire Restorer as well as Certified Restorer (CR) and Water Loss Specialist (WLS); these are the highest educational accomplishments and certifications available from the RIA (the Restoration Industry Association).

Our confidence comes from knowing that ACR can address any mitigation and restoration situation with the most up-to-date information and techniques. With this in mind, you’ll know your loss will be handled correctly and efficiently.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE AGREEMENT

Preemptive Wisdom

While it’s admirable that emergency planning is becoming more common as part of a larger risk management function, the majority of these plans are missing important information. In order to promote the highest likelihood of an excellent outcome and recovery to operational continuity, emergency plans should include specific data that is critical at the time of the inevitable loss, including key internal & external emergency contacts, utility/system location information, and the building’s structural details.

ACR’s Emergency Response Agreement (ERA) has been created as the central source of all the most useful and pertinent information for recovery. Over the years, we’ve seen clearly that clients who completed an ERA with ACR have had better mitigation coordination at first response. Since commercial clients must regain operational capabilities as quickly as possible after a loss, it’s only natural that preparation yields superior results. Setting up an ERA proactively with us is the first step!

An Emergency Response Agreement from ACR will give you:

  • Resources ready to handle any disaster or event that may interrupt business operations

  • An established, pre-qualified contractor who will prioritize your company’s needs

  • Service pricing set in advance of emergency response – and no surprises afterward

  • Emergency responders you know and trust – and who know you and your business

  • An emergency response and remediation company that is accustomed to insurance pricing and insurance program requirements

  • Access to our industry-leading “Pandemic Plan” built in cooperation with Collaborative Healthcare Urgency Group (CHUG)

IASBO Affiliation
