Construction Project Manager/Estimator
Reports To:
Director of Construction Services
FLSA Status:
Standard work hours: Mon-Friday 7:30-4:00. Employee knows and understands that they will be required to often work above and beyond normal business hours.
SUMMARY
The project manager is responsible to lead, manage and actively participate in damage assessment of losses, selling, planning and producing insurance loss reconstruction and remodeling projects; as well as being active in business development efforts. Performance will be measured by metrics such as but not limited to: gross profit dollars produced each month, closing rates, customer satisfaction, amount of time to produce projects and Business Development. Also, overseeing project progression and ensuring all stakeholders involved are updated frequently with good communication, while ensuring all work and service performed according to ACR, Inc. standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform initial assessments and inspections, often time sensitive, write estimates for both residential and commercial settings
Ability to successfully negotiate and secure projects at a high rate of success while maintaining profit margins more than 35%
Ensure customer expectations are exceeded through all phases of the project. Regular involvement with Project Lead, regarding updates dealing with work progression, issues, and any additional work above and beyond agreed to scope.
Maintain communication with homeowners, adjusters, property managers, etc.
Perform project documentation – service agreements, change orders, estimates. Work with team to establish job set up, budget, schedule, selection sheets, punch lists, etc.
Produce invoicing for projects and be an active participant with AR regarding collections.
Be a vocal safety partner, always highlighting the importance of safe work environments
Actively involved with recruitment and assist with training of ACR, Inc. standards with Trade Partners
Help develop and follow ACR, Inc. repair and recovery process
Proficient ability and industry experience working in Xactimate in Reconstruction
Well experienced with the building process, and proficient understanding of construction procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of 5 of industry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have basic understanding of the remediation principles involved with water, fire and mold restoration.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Hold a valid Illinois Drivers license.

Appearance:
Individual is expected to be well kept and dressed in “business Casual” attire. Individual will be allowed to wear “casual” clothing on Fridays, with consideration to possible meetings or events that would require “Business Casual” Business casual is defined as follows: Collared shirt or pullover, with dress slacks or Khaki styled pants. No jeans or Gym (Tennis) shoes with an exception on Fridays.
